Virtual Open Houses for
High School Students of Russian
Hosted by the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL)
We are bringing professors from over 40 college and university Slavic Departments in the U.S. and Canada to meet with high school students who are currently studying Russian.
Join us to learn more about:
- Scholarships, internships, and other opportunities available to students of Russian
- Studying Russian along with other subjects such as international relations, business, cybersecurity, cultural studies, and more
- Russian language in future careers
- Russian language courses in college
- Study abroad opportunities
- the professors you could study with in college
The fair will be open April 15 - JUNE 30, 2024
Visit colleges' virtual booths any time to view promotional videos, presentations, brochures, and more to get information about each schools' program and offerings for Slavic language study.

Presentations will be in English. Reference sheets for each college or university will be provided in both English and Spanish.

Admissions Talk: How Can Russian Help with College Applications?
April 23, 6:15 - 7:00 pm Eastern
Hear from Friends School of Baltimore’s Director of College Guidance on how Russian students have excelled in the college admissions process and from college admissions officers at Bryn Mawr College and Portland State University about the admissions process at different kinds of institutions and how Russian might help students with their applications.

How do I find college booths?
Head to the College Fair Module.
They are listed alphabetically, but you can also search schools in the left-hand sidebar.
We recommend “favoriting” the upcoming schools by clicking the star in the upper right corner of their booth.
Where do I find the Faculty Presentations and Interact with Faculty?
Click on the “College Presentations” module in the top bar.
You can also find the presentations inside an individual college’s booth. Please scroll all the way to the bottom, under “Presentations.”
What if I need help?
If you have questions or concerns during the event, please use the Help Chat Button on the LEFT side to contact support. It looks like this
